There were extensive works completed a couple of years back creating a
courtyard
over what was previously the police car park and before that certain parts of
the
Melbourne Gaol.
During this work one Kelly historian sought permission to confirm the
possibility that
Ned may be buried here, unfortunately Kelly politics stopped him from going any
further.
